A Quebec judge unsealed search warrants in the case on Thursday after a joint application by major Canadian news outlets, including Global News, Quebecor Media, CBC and La Presse.

The Town of New Richmond said in a Facebook post that Henderson Beach is closed until further notice while an investigation is underway.

Three of four suspects arrested were ordered held until a full bail hearing next week. The Crown opposes their release. A fourth suspect will be granted bail in the coming days.

Residents of two rural communities near Quebec City were stunned by the dawn RCMP tactical squad arrests amid allegations that militiamen with weapons and ammo lived among them.

According to authorities, all four men were also allegedly involved in activities intending to forcibly take possession of land in the Quebec City area.
